Imam al Sadiq (AS) said, "If one (full) year passes and one does not go for the Ziyarah of the grave of Husain (AS), one year from his life will be reduced by Allah." If I tell you that some of you die thirty years before your destined time of death, I have said the truth and this is because you (people) ignore going to the Ziyarah of Husain (AS). So do not neglect going to his Ziyarah, for Allah will prolong your lives and increase your sustenance. However, if you ignore his Ziyarah, Allah will shorten your lives and reduce your sustenance.
Compete with one another in going to his Ziyarah and do not neglect it. Verily Husain (AS) will testify on your behalf regarding this (matter) to Allah, His Messenger (SAW), Fatima (AS) and the Commander of the Believers (AS)."

حدَّثني محمّد بن عبدالله الحِميريّ ، عن أبيه ، عن محمّد بن عبدالحميد ، عن سَيف بن عَميرة ، عن منصور بن حازم «قال : سمعناه(1) يقول : مَن أتى عليه حَولٌ لم يأت قبرَ الحسين عليه السلام أنقص الله مِن عُمره حَولاً ، ولو قلتُ : إنَّ أحَدَكم لَيَموت قبلَ أجلِه بثلاثين سَنَة لكنتُ صادقاً ، وذلك لأنّكم تتركون زيارةَ الحسين عليه السلام ، فلا تَدَعوا زيارَته يَمدُّ الله في أعماركم ويزيد في أرزاقكم ، وإذا تركتم زيارته نَقّصَّ الله مِن أعمارِكم وأرْزاقكم ، فتنافسوا في زيارته(2) ولا تَدَعوا ذلك ، فإنَّ الحسين شاهدٌ لكم في ذلك عند الله وعند رَسوله وعند فاطمة وعند أمير المؤمنين عليهم السلام»
