LOL, I just looked at my chord chart & what showed was different then what I made in BIAB. That run down I show is actually an A chord with the Db on the bottom. So an A chord with emphasis on the 3rd.So it is D, A/db bass, Bm7, A!

When this song 1st came out (1966?) they thought it would be a new form of Rock. They referred to it as Baroque Rock. This was actually an exciting proposition to a 14 y.o. bass & guitar player as I thought it would give more legitimacy to the music of my generation. In some sense it did, as over time, music did become very diversified. In many cases more symphonic & harmonic if you will during that time. Of course, there was that little band from Liverpool & a 1000 others that helped. In fact I would suggest or perhaps suspect that this song was heavy influenced by the British Invasion at that time. When we 1st heard it, we assumed they were British. Along with the Sir Douglas Quintet, The Beau Brummels & again,,, 1000 others. We all wanted to sound British for a time. It was great being a kid & a musician during that period.
