Hey, you know there's a ton of Touhou fanfics where Yukari gaps in a random person from the real world. I wanted to make fun of that, so now this episode exists.
Also gives me an excuse to pull Kisume out of the real world and put her back into the paper gensokyo world. I haven't actually planned far enough to know what Kisume is doing next, but eh, I'll figure it out later, like I do for pretty much all the episodes.
Originally, I wanted Yukari to be voiced by Glados, but I wasn't expecting for there to not be a functional text to speech program for Glados. I was so entirely sure that there HAD to be one, but the only one that I could find is offline and unusable.
So instead, I wanted Yukari to be Alexa, but there's no easy way to use that as a text to speech, so I found the the closest possible voice to try and match it.
The voices are supposed to emulate:
Yukari: Alexa
Chen: Microsoft Sam
Ran: idk, I just liked how the British robot voice sounded.
I considered Siri for Ran, but the voice was too close to Yukari's, and I thought it would be better to pick something that contrasted
