It was a year of great significance. A year that honours voyaging and the breadth of Polynesia. In 1985, Hōkūle’a reached the shores of Te Tī, upon the very sands where the dreams of our ancestors were awakened and in that same year we celebrated the birth of the sixth tribe, Ngāti Ruawāhia.
