Most Christians read their Bible every day and still can't explain what is happening in Psalm 82. God standing in a divine assembly. Judging other gods. Most pastors skip it. Most seminaries avoid it. And yet it is the operating system underneath the entire Old Testament. Once you understand it — the weird passages make sense. The foreign gods make sense. Daniel 10 makes sense. Deuteronomy 32 makes sense. The Tower of Babel makes sense. In this video I'm reacting to Nils Glenn's extraordinary teaching on what the Bible actually says about the other gods — the divine council — and connecting it to everything we have been covering on this channel this week. Because the divine council is not a fringe theory. It is the framework that the Dead Sea Scrolls confirm, that Dr. Michael Heiser spent his life documenting, and that Jesus himself assumed when he quoted Psalm 82 in John 10. God did not create a universe with one species of intelligent being and one realm of existence. He created a layered cosmos with a divine council, rebellious sons of God, nations assigned to spiritual beings, and a campaign of cosmic reclamation that stretches from Genesis to Revelation. And Pentecost — the moment most Christians think of as just the coming of the Holy Spirit — is actually the biblical reversal of Babel. The nations were scattered at Babel and given to divine beings. At Pentecost the Spirit fell and the disciples spoke in every language of every nation simultaneously — the beginning of God taking the nations back. Watch until the end — because once you see the divine council you will never read your Bible the same way again.
