We once again teamed up with National Geographic's Pristine Seas team to survey and document Chile's Juan Fernández Islands, an archipelago that lies about 600 kilometers west of Valparaíso and consists of three islands: Robinson Crusoe, Santa Clara, and Alejandro Selkirk.
On February 27th, 2018 Chile’s President Michelle Bachelet signed into law protections for nearly 450,000 square miles of water—an area roughly the size of Texas, California and West Virginia combined. We were privileged to host the expedition and to be able to help Chileans protect their amazing ocean habitat.
