Today we went with a group to do a hike at Shawka Dam, it is a hiking loop that goes around the mountains through a wadi.
A managed trail with some elevation gain in a loop around the Shawka dam with surprisingly diverse scenery. Possibility to shorten route as required.
A nice half day hike suitable for beginners and families in Wadi Shawka Dam Hiking loop ras al khaimah. There may be some interesting UAE wildlife and birds to spot along the way.
Lots of open stretches with some shaded rest stops along the way. Sun protection highly recommended, water mandatory.
