Here's just a bit of the Wink Martindale-hosted game show Headline Chasers, as seen on New York City's channel 7, WABC. This aired late Monday, December 23rd, 1985 (or very early Christmas Eve, if you like). The Monday Night Football game earlier that evening must have run about twenty minutes long, so the scheduled home taping of the Late Movie caught the very end of HC.
I cut out the commercials before and after the ticket info (read, of course, by Johnny Gilbert), but left in some of the others before the movie: Chia Pet (there's an older version, possibly the original one, elsewhere on this channel) with local mention of Genovese and Pathmark; and a station Christmas promo with childhood photos of on-air personalities such as Kaity Tong and Ernie Anastos. After that, announcer Wally Parker reads a tease over a HC slide, then the movie open.
