While watching the first episode of Ore Monogatari!!, I instantly thought, “Wow, Takeo is Shrek.” The concept seemed so perfect that I just had to create the combination before anyone else. I am so excited to share this AMV with you. Even without knowing that SUKI DA!!! is a reference to Shrek, I feel that the song connects with Ore Monogatari!! enough that the video is still enjoyable. SUKI DA!!! also shows off how much my editing improved through making Evergreen. My timing and scene selection skills are the best they have ever been.

#AMV #OreMonogatari #MyLoveStoryA Goofy Movie: Powerlines Cut | Eye to Eye / I 2 I Music VideoStarTrinity0092019-04-08 | A Goofy Movie - Powerline's Cut is a DMV (Disney Music Video), fan tribute to A Goofy Movie. Released on the film's anniversary, the music video is designed to encapsulate Max and Goofy's emotional journey in under three minutes. In short, Powerline's Cut is an alternative cut of the entire movie, while also serving as a kind of unofficial, yet officially-styled, music video.
Additionally, the cut experiments with the dialogue between multiple fan activities by combining a fan-made remaster of the film with a fan cover of "I2I," a blockbuster song from A Goofy Movie, to create a fan-made music video specifically for avid fans of the 1995 cult classic. Now, all Goofy Movie followers can get that Goofy Movie fill more often in a smaller, yet powerful, package.
You're welcome!

Finally, after a year and a half, I am releasing this video. Evergreen is the first AMV of mine in a long time that I can actually watch all the way through without groaning at mistakes. For quite a while, I had been frustrated and bored with my editing, so I took my time and used this project to regroup. I made myself break the habit of choosing a song solely because it matches an anime. I instead picked a song that I genuinely like by an artist I adore, and that made a huge difference. Selecting dedicated beta testers, switching to Adobe Premiere Pro, re-establishing fundamentals, and trying out new techniques also helped me break new ground. By and large, creating Evergreen significantly improved my editing and breathed new life into my work.

- Video Description - This tokusatsu music video, or TMV, was created in 10 days for the Home Made Kazoku Video Contest at Anime Weekend Atlanta 2014. It sadly did not win, but I feel like it turned out extremely well with what little time I had to finish. I plan on making a full version with higher quality clips and the complete song. Due to time constraints and limited resources, I was forced to use hard subtitled episodes, and I had to cut out part of the song. The majority of clips in プロジェクトW are cropped in odd ways to hide subtitles and watermarks. Somehow, it still looks pretty good, but this video deserves better. I will hopefully release a full version in the coming months, so if you are interested, please check it out.
In the meantime, please enjoy the contest version. プロジェクトW was several firsts for me, and the editing experience was refreshing. I have not used a Japanese song since I learned Japanese, so I hope my knowledge of the language correctly reflects in the video. It would be fascinating to learn if my cuts make sense to Japanese viewers.

I created this video's project file on November 11, 2012, editing only bits and pieces of the ending stretch (specifically 02:54-03:00 and 03:19-end). It wasn't until after I picked up "oh no..." again, and completed it for my New Year's release, that I started storyboarding "The Recollection of a Princess and a Pilot" again. During January 2013, I remained in a planning stage since I simply could not make myself edit the video. This was the case because I was angsting over the fact that I had to start the project with 720p footage, after failing to find the Blu-ray copy of the film at a Tsutaya in Japan. I refused to make another video without 1080p footage, and I didn't have the money to purchase the Region 2, $121 Blu-ray copy off of Amazon. But thankfully, in late January, I discovered that AnimeTake had mkv part files by Taka-THORA that were still working. After a grueling week of downloading about 10 or so 900MB part files from Depositfiles (since the torrent was completely inactive), I finally, FINALLY had decent footage to edit with. So throughout February, I researched different methods of extracting mkv files to use in Vegas and troubleshooted why every single one just wouldn't work for this particular file. However, I finally found a solution out of nowhere that actually worked, and it is now a trade secret. ;) So no telling. Haha, sorry! Anyway, by March, I was all set to edit, and I had re-edited with the 1080p footage what had been done in November 2012. Yet because of college courses, I had to bring my already slow progress to a complete halt and wait until the end of April exams to edit anything new. This made May 6, 2013 to June 10, 2013 the time frame in which the project actually came to life.
Nevertheless, during that waiting time before May, I brainstormed over and over again and tried to determine just what kind of AMV I wanted to make. The essential concept behind "The Recollection of a Princess and a Pilot" came to be for the characters to directly communicate their feelings to each other and the audience. Too many times have I seen romance AMVs that establish the understanding of a couple's bond through situations rather than moments. It's a minute distinction that most would probably believe to be unimportant; however, it is just like me to feel that it is LARGELY important. Therefore, "The Recollection of a Princess and a Pilot" can best be described as an experimental romance -- one that stops to smell the roses and displays love as a culmination of looks, gestures, and sentiments. The goal is that you FEEL their bittersweet struggle, not just watch it happen. ----------------------------------------------- If you're curious, the translation of Fana's sound bite following the prologue is "Then Charles, are you saying you don't care if you never see me again?!" I included this line in my video because I wanted it to seem like Fana was prompting the song out of Charles.
Another fun fact is that the epilogue is actually at the end of The Princess and the Pilot. I lightly modified it, but it is essentially the same as what Taka-THORA subtitled it to be.
Also, yet another fun fact is that NIS America released this movie for Region 1 on May 14, 2013 during the making of this video. With its release, the company changed the princess's name from Fana del Moral to Juana del Moral. I found this very very strange as her name is clearly pronounced as Fana in the Japanese dub. Therefore, in my prologue and epilogue, she remains Fana. Also, the Region 1 Blu-ray is half the price of what the Region 2 was when I first started this project, so BUY IT!
Okay, okay! No more fun facts after this one. I promise! But lastly, the title of my video is a combination of the Japanese and English titles for the movie. In Japanese, Toaru Hikūshi e no Tsuioku is translated as (The) Recollection of a Certain Airship Pilot. The English is obviously The Princess and the Pilot. So put the two together and you get "The Recollection of a Princess and a Pilot." It's a duet video, so both have to be in the title. ;) ----------------------------------------------- Anime: Toaru Hikūshi e no Tsuioku (The Princess and the Pilot) Song: "If I Never Knew You" by Jon Secada & Shanice Time Frame: Read description above Program: Sony Vegas Pro 12.0 And a special thanks to SatoshiSakura for looking over my lip sync! ----------------------------------------------- Contest History ----------------------------------------------- Otakon 2013 AMV Contest - Entry ----------------------------------------------- Download ----------------------------------------------- http://www.a-m-v.org/video/192287oh no...StarTrinity0092013-01-01 | Well, before you judge my video as just another Shinkai amv, please read what I have to say. I started this video during my semester abroad in Japan on October 12th. I completed about 1/4 of it in a week and then quit because of school work. I picked it back up again 2 days ago to complete it as my New Year's release. I feel pretty good about it, but I'm pretty sure most of you know that this piece was made out of my comfort zone. It's meant to be a character profile/anime tribute, but it may just be one big mess. I'll let you decide! My main goal was just to express a feeling - my personal feeling of emptiness while I was away from my boyfriend in Japan. When I started missing him, I'd listen to this song and think about Shinkai's male protagonists. Oddly enough, I really relate to these characters and enjoy editing with them. So don't judge the source! Judge the artist. Shinkai's portrayal of the effects of distance is pretty accurate. Be 14 hours away from your loved ones for a while and see. xD ----------------------------------------------- On a side note, oh no... is my first attempt at a multi anime amv. When I first heard this song on the radio, I kinda wanted to make an amv with it, but I was unsure because I didn't have a strong idea. The song was catchy, but not very deep and kind of repetitive. However, my weird obsession with lyric sync finally associated "call me maybe" with cell phones in Eden of the East, and then the entire song just clicked for Takizawa and Saki. Their 11 day romance is just as repetitive as this song! Takizawa runs off, and Saki is left yearning for his attention. I loled so hard thinking about this. There was no turning back. Like R.O.L.L!, this video heavily relies on the viewer having seen the source anime. If you've seen the series, you (hopefully) totally get the irony of it all. Also, as far as the effects, I usually don't do them, so bare with me please. I need the practice... hehe Another fun fact...I totally ran out of couple scenes while making this video. After watching Usagi Drop, I just HAD to make a video with it. The series was so well done and so sweet. It is now certainly one of my favorites. It's kinda funny, but I'm always a big sucker for anything involving unlikely relationships. If those relationships involve adoption or tutelage, I'm an even bigger sucker. So... Bunny Love was going to happen one way or another. As far as the song choice, it was the first song that popped into my head when I was thinking about Usagi Drop. As kids, my cousin and I used to sing this song duet-style, so it brings back fond childhood memories. Oddly enough, I thought the song fit the anime very well, and it gave me another opportunity to show something in a new light. In my last video, R.O.L.L!, I showed my source footage in a new light. In this video, I wanted to show the song in a new light. This song is a love ballad, but it doesn't have to be for only romantic couples. It can be for the unlikely couple too. ----------------------------------------------- Also, just to be clear, this video is to be interpreted through the context of the anime only. After making this video, I heard some things about the manga version that may distort the meaning of my video. The moment I found out the idea had never been touched, my mind screamed "I CALL IT!" and I began editing right away. However, as excited as I was, I couldn't bring myself to finish it because the song was more fun/upbeat. I had become so used to the slower drama/romance pace that my earlier knack for fast songs had disappeared. Two weeks ago, I decided to take the project out of the graveyard thinking, "What the heck! It was a good idea! Let's do it just for the novelty of it." Thus, I started from scratch, making all new clips with a better codec, and settled for the fact that it wasn't going to be my best. It was just for fun! So... "R.O.L.L!" exists merely as one GIANT pun that I hope many enjoy. Most people watch this anime and interpret it so seriously. After working from 6:00 pm to 3:17 am of May the 1st's early morn, I had an odd combo...the 80's and Shakespeare. Ironically, if you really listen, it works. I came up with the idea one night, as I surfed the many Encore movie channels. I stumbled upon the last 10 or 15 min. of "Purple Rain" and somehow (my mind is still a wonder) I linked it to Romeo x Juliet. It was probably because I had just recently finished the series. This video is a little bit different for me. I attempted to make more of a crowd pleaser by making the vid more upbeat. My serious style still shows through most of the time though, so "Shakespearian Comic" ends up being both serious and upbeat, as well as heartwarming/heartswelling. *rubs head* If my vid is not heartswelling, it's not mine.
Anyway, enjoy and watch the series if you have the time. It's high level anime. :) Gonzo + Funimation again (my favorite)!!! And in case you don't notice, I used a lot of purple in this amv. I did because of it's inspiration, "Purple Rain," and because of the fact that whenever I think of Prince I always color identify him with purple. ----------------------------------------------- Contest History ----------------------------------------------- Animazement 2010 AMV Contest - Official Selection (Viewable in Overflow) Ichibancon 2011 AMV Contest - Best in Show Momocon 2011 AMV Exhibition - Participant Hoshicon 2011 AMV Contest - Judge's Choice ----------------------------------------------- Downloads ----------------------------------------------- AMV.org: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=176631 HD quality indirect download (BIG file): http://depositfiles.com/files/ub8ynae3n Ipod video mp4 indirect download: http://depositfiles.com/files/mgrvpdeu0Riddles, Rhymes, & Reason [Hoshicon 2011 Best In Show]StarTrinity0092010-01-01 | Can you solve my riddle? ----------------------------------------------- Afterthought: ----------------------------------------------- Well...I can say one thing about this video - It was a learning experience. After starting 4 different video projects, I decided to make a 5th one, during exam week, 4 weeks before the Anime America AMV Contest. NOT a good idea. I can honestly say that this is one of the best Galaxy Railways amv out there. (Originality points!!) This is my favorite anime, but as much as I love it, it is impossible to use it as amv footage. They talk constantly and pretty much all of the action scenes take place within or with trains. It's so frustrating!!!! But, its still one of those series that will strike you as something special, especially if you have lost someone close to you. It's that memory of loss followed by the feeling of hopelessness for your own life that I have instilled in this video. At least I can say that I always pour my heart out into my videos. That makes them special just like this series. If I did not display my views in my videos, it would be a waste of time. I picked this song not only to tell the anime like it is (which is my amv style), but to thrust that familiar question into your mind. What is the meaning of life? It can end so quickly, and in the end, it could seem all too hopeless. So, what does it matter? The one on Youtube is the original .wmv that I made for a friend's birthday. It was later entered into the Anime America AMV Contest '08, then the Animazement 2009 AMV Contest. The AZ09 version is only slightly different with 3 major effect changes, a different dedication, and a shorter ending. I made those changes because those parts of my video always bugged me, and I wanted my video to look a little better for Animazement '09. The reason the dedication was changed is because I wanted to do something special for my cousin who attended AZ09 with me. I was confident that my video might win something. I approximated about a 70% chance while I crossed my fingers. Therefore, I put my cuz's name in their so she could get some recognition if I won. I'm still very good friends with the original dedication. ^-^ The AZ09 version is available for download. It will not be uploaded to Youtube due to WMG copyright complications.

Anime Film: 5 centimeters per second Director: Makoto Shinkai Song: A Thousand Miles Song Artist: Vanessa Carlton Dedicated to: kairi23601Anything Mr.K Can Do Renge Can Do Better BETAStarTrinity0092007-11-30 | This video is unfinished, but I wanted to upload what I had so far for a contest. I probably won't win, but I decided to do it anyway. The characters in this video are Renge from Ouran High School Host Club and Mr.K(my hero)from Gravitation. These two characters are both managers. And of course each thinks they are better than eachother. I made this video out of pure randomness. This is the first time I have ever tried to lip-sync a whole video so bear with me. ^_^Soras Call n ReturnStarTrinity0092007-07-22 | *EXTREMELY OLD!!!!!!!!!* Thanks for 10,000 views! lol I won 1st place in OathkeeperKairi500's contest! Thanks to all of you who voted!I had so much fun making this vid.! This vid is about Sora. Yeah, I know I put in some SoraxKairi pairing in there, but the whole vid is from Sora's point of view. I tried to make it so that the lyrics were Sora's thoughts about Kairi and his journey. I know that doesn't make sense now, but it will. I know the text is fuzzy, but that's just because of the youtube player. Please comment, rate, and send it to all your friends!!! Higher quality link:
