It took me almost 4 months of planning, storyboarding, and editing; and I actually managed to complete it an entire week before AWA's deadline. This amv is also full of many different firsts for me. This is my first amv that uses DVD quality footage, my first to use audio that I purchased from iTunes, my first to be primarily edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Pro 9.0, my first to use a mask/ cookie cutter effect/ tool (although, it is completely unnoticeable), my first one to be completed an entire week before its deadline, and my first AMV to win a AMV contest {New York Anime Festival (NYAF) 2009 Best Drama AMV}. When I first started editing it, I decided that I wanted it to be as jarring and off-putting as possible. My intention was for the video to make people so uncomfortable that they'd hate it, and even hate me for making it. And so the scene at 2:40 was actually the first thing I edited. But as I finished more of it, I decided that I still wanted the video to be well edited, and so my new goal became to keep the video just as unsettling, but well edited enough that people would be still forced to appreciate it even if they dislike the content. Based on the review that I got during the AWA P.R.O competition, I think I accomplished that goal pretty well 😆.

Madoka and the Nutcracker Witch Kireblue 2018-12-26 | One thing that I love about Madoka is how it borrows a lot of elements from various forms of literature. And so when I saw the trailer for "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms", I immediately wanted to use it to highlight the references that the anime (specifically the 3rd movie) makes to the ballet. Homura's witch form is officially known as "Homulilly : The Nutcracker witch", and has minions that are all based on the Nutcracker. And while editing this, I found even more references that I wasn't able to notice while simply watching the anime. But anyway, I hope you enjoy it. I rushed this a bit to have it ready by the end of Christmas (pacific time), but I'm still pretty pleased with how everything turned out. I wanted to make a cool logo for the trailer, but I decided to scrap that idea for time. Project Org Editor 2015 Promo {Round 1: July 6th} Kireblue 2015-06-28 | Description of CompetitionProject OrgEditor is an AMV competition originally created by CodeZTM in 2011. Since then, it has become a widely known and extremely popular AMV event that has produced many outstanding videos throughout its four installments. But unfortunately, the competition has been on hiatus for the past two years due to CodeZTM becoming less active in the AMV community. Even so, Project OrgEditor has always been very special to me {Kireblue}, and I took pride in being one if its returning judges. And so for 2015, I decided to revive the competition with the help of Ghet, Camichan19, alchemymini, GuntherAMVs, MycathatesyouAMV and Xophilarus. All of us have worked very hard to analyze all the aspects of Project OrgEditor that people enjoyed, and improve on them to make the event even more enjoyable. There will be no registration deadline, and anyone can enter the competition at any point during the preliminary rounds. At the start of each round, a theme will be revealed and participants will have the option to either edit a video for that round or skip it. At the end of each round, the submitted videos will then be judged on the following criteria and scored: Editing (20), Concept (20), and Enjoyability (10).
