Sleepless in Zug City - Drone hyperlapse in 4K at night Oliver Schmid 2020-04-30 | This is a collection of aerial views taken as a 4K drone hyperlapse at night between summer 2019 and spring 2020. Focused on city lights shining through the moving fog and clouds. It took me a total of 153 drone flights and 45 hours flight time to get the final result.Zug is a small business city in central Switzerland. It is also known as "Crypto Valley". It's located next to a small mountain (Zugerberg) from where I could start and land my drone safe.*** Why the city of Zug?First of all this is my hometown. When I got my drone and took some first shots I realized that I don't have to go far this time. Zug is perfect as it is one of the view cities without any additional drone restriction in Switzerland. Also there is no airport nearby! Another great thing is mount Zugerberg on which I live. This close to the city mountain gave me the ability to start on different ground level just as needed.*** The advantage of flying a drone at nightIt may surprise you but flying a modern drone at night is much easier and safer than on daytime. It can be seen much better on far distance, as there are 4 lights blinking with different colors (frontside and backside). Sleepless in New York Time Lapse - the city at night Oliver Schmid 2019-05-08 | Jump from tower to tower in New York and enjoy the beautiful Manhattan skyline at night. This is my third “Sleeplessin” time lapse, showing the great city of New York at night. I traveled two times to New York City for a total of 6 weeks and was shooting in the streets for 28 evenings and 14 mornings producing 3.5 TB data and 33'420 photos. During that time I ate 29 slices of pizza and spent USD 240 for the subway.Why New York City:When I was 14 years old I got the chance to visit New York City for the first time. Sleepless in Luzern - Hyperlapse Oliver Schmid 2018-04-17 | In meinem zweiten “Sleepless” Time Lapse (Zeitraffer 4K) zeige ich die Stadt Luzern bei Nacht und Dämmerung. Der Weg führt von der Museggmauer über den Männliturm direkt auf den Pilatus und von da auf das Schiff zurück zum KKL. Nach verschiedenen weiteren Stationen in der Stadt Luzern endet die Time Lapse beim Löwendenkmal. Für die Aufnahmen bin ich zwischen November 2017 und März 2018 total 19 mal nach Luzern gefahren.
