Why Ricky Gervais is Wrong About Atheism https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgGEs...This is More Evil Than You Can Imagine | Rutger Bregman, Jonathan EdwardsThe Thinking Dutchman2022-08-30 | Are most people morally good? Rutger Bregman thinks so. In his book ‘Humankind’ he tries to convince the reader that there are many examples that this is the case. Besides the fact that all his examples fail and that he doesn’t deal with the countless examples that prove the opposite, there is a much deeper problem. Bregman is an atheist and therefore not only lacks a reasonable foundation for good and evil, but he doesn’t realize that our main problem is not that we’ve done evil to one another, but that we’ve sinned against an infinite and holy God.

Stephen Woodford, aka Rationality Rules, thinks so. On April Fools day, he and Alex O’ Connor (Cosmic Skeptic) discussed Alex’ ‘conversion’ to Christianity. Alex was playing the Devil’s advocate and argued why he ‘believes’ that Christiniaty is true. They discussed the ontological argument and Stephen argued that the concept of a maximally great Being has mutually exclusive properties and therefore, the concept is incoherent. In this video I show you how the cross of Jesus Christ is the glorious solution to the problem.

They made a high quality mini-documentary and their focus was on the growing pro-life group in the Netherlands, especially among young people.

Why Ricky Gervais is Wrong About Atheism youtube.com/watch?v=GgGEsc90FpgExtraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence (Paulogia response)The Thinking Dutchman2022-02-27 | Some people, such as myself, have become convinced that Christianity is true based on the evidence for the resurrection. Other people, who have been exposed to the same evidence, don’t find it compelling. There can be many reasons why this is the case. Atheist YouTuber Paulogia made a whole video about why he thinks the claim "Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence" makes sense. I agree with much of what he said, but still I think that anybody who is intellectually honest should find the evidence for the resurrection compelling.
Every sincere truth seeker should be open to the occurrence of miracles. The claim that Jesus rose from the dead may be extraordinary to you, but it is not fair that you see it as so extremely extraordinary that no amount of evidence could ever convince you.

Why Ricky Gervais is Wrong About Atheism youtube.com/watch?v=GgGEsc90FpgThe Historical Facts PROVE that Christianity is TRUEThe Thinking Dutchman2021-09-17 | Sam Harris made a case against miracles. He talks about how common miracle claims are in the modern world.
He contrasts the miracles of Jesus with supposed present-day miracles. Since reasonable people generally don’t believe that the miracles attributed to Saita Said Baba are real, we should especially don’t believe miracle claims from 2000 years ago. In this video I will show you that Harris is wrong and that a compelling case can be made that Jesus rose from the dead.
Why Ricky Gervais is Wrong About Atheism youtube.com/watch?v=GgGEsc90FpgWhy Rationality Rules is WRONG about MIRACLESThe Thinking Dutchman2021-08-24 | Miracles play a central role in the Christian faith. Our whole faith depends on 1 particular miracle: the resurrection of Jesus. The Bible confirms this. In a letter to the Corinthians Paul even says: And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. (NKJV). Many people think that miracles are so unlikely to occur that you might as well conclude they are impossible. Even worse, some even think that there is no way to make a reasonable distinction between a miracle and an unlikely natural occurrence. If this is true, then we cannot know whether Christianity is true and then Paul might be right, our faith is empty. In this video I will show you that there IS a way to make a justifiable distinction between a miracle and a natural occurrence.

Why Ricky Gervais is Wrong About Atheism youtube.com/watch?v=GgGEsc90FpgRationality Rules FAILS in Debunking the Watchmaker ArgumentThe Thinking Dutchman2021-08-08 | In 1802 Paley published his work called “Natural Theology”. In it he argued that biological organisms are the result of Intelligent Design. He is known for using a watch as an illustration to make his case. Atheist Stephen Woodford, known by his popular channel Rationality Rules, made a video ‘debunking’ the watchmaker analogy from Paley. It might surprise you, but I agree with many of the arguments Stephen makes. There is just one problem: Paley’s argument is completely different from what Stephen thinks it is, so his whole video is not a response to Paley, but simply a straw man argument.

In this video I respond to some of his claims and show you why they are not only wrong, but also dangerous.
Why Ricky Gervais is Wrong About Atheism youtube.com/watch?v=GgGEsc90FpgThe FUNDAMENTAL Assumptions of Western Civilization are VALIDThe Thinking Dutchman2021-05-04 | In a powerful video, Jordan Peterson emphasizes the fact that all human beings have intrinsic worth. Arjen thinks that Christianity is an absurd fairytale and that a world without God makes far more sense. This movie is about Nabeel's faith journey from Islam to Christianity and his struggle with stomach cancer.
Nabeel Asif Qureshi (1983-2017) was raised as a devout Ahmadi Muslim. After spending several years examining the evidence for Christianity and Islam with his friend David Wood, Nabeel became a Christian while attending Eastern Virginia Medical School. He wrote the very popular book "Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus"
"Crucible" means a severe test or trial or an extremely challenging experience. The word is usually applied to a situation that tests a person’s character and perhaps changes them forever.
Prov. 17:3: A crucible for silver, and a smelter for gold, and the Lord is the tester of hearts. James 1:2-4: Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 1 Pet. 1: 6-7: In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
