2022 Plans/Hopes (See Description for More Info) BriefCasey 2022-01-20 | This short video basically summarizes what I plan/hope to do this year, assuming college doesn't weigh me down too much this year and motivation isn't a pain.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬Since this isn't a video essay, and I wanted this video to be short and to the point, I want to further explain everything here in the description.I know I kind of mentioned this in my community tab and on Twitter already, but while I already was planning to get back into GMod more after my video essay project was complete, I still felt bad about how I haven't touched GMod a lot in 2021 (and probably the last 2 years before that) outside of uses I found for it in my other forms of content these days.Not only that, even though I had fun with them, I also felt bad about every time my attention shifted to other things (even collab entires) when I still have things in GMod that I want to see through. And yes, that includes Part 6 of Pinkie Pie's Exciting Adventure, which I still have no estimate for, but I've managed to put work into whenever I could. On top of that, I think motivational issues with GMod just didn't help.To name a few, Heavy is Dead ACNH was a success of course, but it also took quite a bit of time. I also really had fun streaming the Switch version of Miitopia, but I also completely underestimated how tired the streams would leave me and how time consuming making highlights and VODs would be after the fact. Lastly, I think the straw that broke the camel's back in how not touching GMod hasn't gotten me much traction was how despite all the effort I put into the two Xenoblade/Smash video essays I recently made, they seem to be underperforming at the time of writing this. I know branching out can be tough, but it still wasn't a pleasant sight.As such, I sincerely hope nothing else sidetracks me in terms of projects on that scale, and that I can pump out more videos made in Garry's Mod this year. That being said though, please bear with me if I seem to be uploading at a less frequent rate. On top of whatever college things I'll have to account for, it can still take a fair bit of time to make a decent GMod video. While I'll also try to put work into things like PPEA, I might even do short things in GMod as a way to avoid burnout and such. I've got some ideas handy too. Simple uploads like any future reactions and/or Twitter Joke Collection Vol. 2 may still happen too, as those do not take anywhere near the time it took to make things like the three non-GMod projects I mentioned. The same goes for leisurely streams like my Mario Party Superstars one. All that said though, Smash Silliness 5 still won't be for a while because of the effort that goes into those videos.Above all, I guess the timing of me making this couldn't be any more perfect, as this short animation was in fact animated the same day the newly updated Stop Motion Helper went live, and I can safely say that animating felt like a breeze compared to the previous version of SMH, so maybe I will be able to follow this goal. That said, the only reason I used Poppi was because I didn't know what I could use in place of the dispenser, and I thought the Aegis sword just wouldn't work since Pyra/Mythra can canonically just regenerate another one. The Poppi model shown here is also a work in progress, so it's not on the workshop yet either.Anyway, I had fun with this, and it didn't take me that long to do. The new voice clips Rex and Pyra got in Smash Bros. kind of also sparked the idea. Seeing a Favorite Game Come to Life in Smash | Reaction Highlights to Pyra/Mythra presentation BriefCasey 2021-03-04 | Good news. This thing pretty much revitalized my excitement in the impending DLC today along with a fact that reassured my initial shock. Also got some neat reactions to other things here too.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Regarding my previous video, I sincerely apologize if me being disappointed about Rex's omission in my initial reaction didn't look all that great. I was never angry of course, but I still feel kind of bad about that. If what we learned today is anything though, it has me more sure of what could happen if Pyra/Mythra return in whenever the next Smash game is. Anyway, this may be a long video, but I figured it'd be the best for me to show off my Xenoblade 2 knowledge in it. How long these end up being are why I don't usually do it, but Xenoblade 2 here is a passion of mine.In the future, I'll probably cook up a video on why I like it, but nonetheless, here it is. An Animation Test Inspired This BriefCasey 2020-08-01 | And after a long while of only appearing in pics on dA and on my banner, PuffCase finally appears in a video! Thankfully I managed to get some important scenes that required multiplayer done before the patch hit, otherwise it would have been very hard to see the rest of the video through. (Also The Edge of Dawn is stuck in my head thanks to me editing this. Wew.)▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬So...yeah, Byleth happened. Rest assured this isn't a salt-laden reaction like most others probably on YouTube.I honestly felt like they were inevitable, and I'm actually fine with the inclusion. It helps that I got FE3H for Christmas, so I played enough to have some liking for the game. Though I will admit that the only two things I'm not quite content with is how Rex got shafted over Byleth, and I thought he was an odd choice for fighter 5, and it doesn't help that it caused a massive shitstorm on twitter as a result.At the same time though, after thinking on it more, I'm not feeling as robbed as some other Xenoblade fans probably are, since part of me has good faith we might see Rex in Vol. 2. It helps that people who want Rayman noticed there was no sign of him in those Ubisoft Mii costumes. Guess who's also currently a base game spirit alongside Rex? Plus, Byleth's inclusion at least means first party characters can still be DLC.Lastly, I just feel like there was no other way to do Byleth aside from maybe September. Any earlier and it would have left a bad first impression and/or would have 100% been Corrin all over again, since at least FE3H had grown its acclaim and fanbase by the time it got a character in Smash, and those people wouldn't be there back then. Then again, I just don't like seeing people being unreasonable about a character they don't like, and having something to fall back on as to not let it kill your excitement is always nice. BriefCasey 2018-07-30 | EVERYONE ISDICKING AROUND!Original by RaiKujo: youtu.be/B36BXid7iQ0For the longest time, I wanted to do a take on "The Vicious Cycle" with my newer animation style, and Smash Bros. was one of my ideas. but the thing is, when I first thought of it, I had no idea how the Inklings were gonna work at the time. That said, the idea was after Smash Ultimate's initial reveal, but before its showcase at E3, and afterwards, once I revisited the idea, since the Inklings do use the roller in their moveset, it was a done deal.Seriously though, granted the animation is supposed to be frantic, this is the most diversity with models I've ever worked with. It's not often that I animate some of these either, especially the Inkling Girl. I still think I did okay though, especially for a first time. Matter of fact, I held a poll on my deviantART page where I asked which of three old videos people wanted to see remade, and this was the winner.I'm very pleased with the result. Aside from making a few changes, let's just say this version was a little more...brutal than the original. Just for fun, here are the noted changes made from the original, since this did end up being very different from the original:- Wario is asleep at the start of the video. Isn't killed when CBS lands on him.- The unlucky bastard who gets hit by CBS tossing his murder weapon away is changed from Rainbow Dash to a Shy Guy. (I mean, in hindsight it was out of place for what's supposed to be a Mario GMod video...)- We see Wario's fall.- It's offscreen, but Waluigi actually tries to slowly get away rather than just watching CBS murder Wario.- Waluigi isn't killed by the battle axe thrown at him.
