(Verified) Freedom19 (Extreme Demon) by GrenadeofTacos & others ARtu 2021-11-15 | This is Freedom19 — I'm fairly certain a lot of you know about this level, but in case you don't, it's a remake of Freedom08 made entirely in 1.9. I've been in love with this level ever since I saw the first preview and I'm super happy to get the opportunity to verify it. It looks incredibly cool even if you don't consider the 1.9 factor in my opinion. If you want to compare those two levels, I'd say this one is a lot less click-heavy and also easier to learn and understand thanks to the lack of 2.0 and 2.1 mechanics. I did spend quite some time to get everything fixed (especially the sync), I very much like the current state of the level, hopefully folks can have a great time with it as well! (Verified) Lonely Lights (Extreme Demon?) by Elvii & Mixer ARtu 2021-08-21 | Lonely Lights is a collaboration between Mixer who made the layout and Elvii who made the entire decoration. I think it's about Low Extreme Demon Difficulty or maybe even Insane Demon but I doubt it quite a lot. Recommend you to watch in 1440p for more quality and less compression :)Also, this is actually one of my first serious verification projects as I don't really count the levels I built in such ones because it's nothing more than simply beating the level. With Lonely Lights, however, I did spend quite a lot of time into fixing and making it better. In fact, I recieved the level in a very broken state: half of the parts were unsync, so I had to fix that too (and it wasn't exactly the best experience). I won't lie and tell you it's the most fun level in existence, but it's certainly not a bad one either. It's quite easy to learn and also pretty straightforward with the gameplay, excluding a few short sections. I think I did well with the verification. What do you think? My new Hardest Demon | Yatagarasu [Extreme Demon] by TrusTa | ARtu ARtu 2021-07-02 | Well, playing that level was definitely a journey. As I said, I picked it up back in winter and I loved playing it, so I've decided for myself I'm going to grind the hell out of Yatagarasu once my winter holidays hit. I did grind it quite a lot that time to be fair, yet I haven't really achieved much: I kept dying at the predrop and by personal best was 46%, so I was really really demotivated to play the level. I haven't really touched it during spring since the second semester hit me really hard. I came back to playing Yatagarasu at summer though and made some really quick progress out of nowhere. I started playing it almost everyday until I finally beat it. It wasn't all that smooth: I died 4 times at FunnyGame's part, all at the first ship. In fact, I found it's quite similar to impossible to control the ship with the level of nerves I was getting when I got to 80% on Yata from 0. I even joked a few times I wouldn't be able to beat Stereo Madness ship with this level of nerves. However, I did manage to control my nerves somehow when I got to FunnyGame's part my 5th time and I finally beat it! I'm really happy about beating Yatagarasu. It may not be the best up to today's standards level and yet it feels awesome to complete this milestone Demon with incredible history. As for now I'll try to finish off some easier Extreme Demons that I started (Distraught, BuTiTi III, Breakout Redux, Artifice) and I also REALLY want to try Edge of the Blade. Achlys [Insane Demon] by Novaach | ARtu ARtu 2021-05-02 | I came across this level quite accidentally and I absolutely love it. You might already know I'm a big sucker for "old" gameplay and this level does it perfrectly: it features a lot of long straight fly sections, classic wave section and some really natural timings. It also feels like a baby Tartarus, which is expected since the creator took a lot of inspiration from that level. Unlike Tartarus though, this level isn't ruined by enormous difficulty and other very unpleasant things (like fixed hitbox straight fly), so it gives off that awesome feeling as if you played Tartarus or just any old difficult Extreme except it's not really difficult and actually fun. There is one thing, however, I didn't like much about this level: a small section of the level after the swingcopter at 70% plays differently depending on which gravity you finish the swingcopter part with. Those two outcomes were quite awkward and hard for me to handle, so I always aimed at ending up with reversed gravity, which sometimes resulted in me dying, but I'm assuming lots of people wouldn't find it too difficult to handle two possible pathways haha. Anyways, I enjoyed Anchlys by Novaach, I can recommend it to you if you're fan of "old" gameplay style featuring a lot of straight fly and waves. CYTOKINESIS Layout | Upcoming Demon by sauzzeth & the people ARtu 2021-04-18 | This level is going to be the first project of my buddy @sauzzeth — he asked me if I want to upload his video and so I did! You might have heard of this guy — he's been popping of recently with megacollab parts of incredible quality and he's been making those insanely fast too, so don't forget to check him out! Cytokinesis will have a very specific theme and will be a combination of design and art styles. The song was made specifically for the megacollab which adds some cool points. As for the layout, I helped sauz to balance and fix it a bit, as well as some other folks did. In the current state I can say the predrop is quite fun and so are first bits of the drop. Later, however, the gameplay gets a little bit tricky as duals are introduced and used until the very end of the level. POP CULTURE | JonathanGD-inspired Layout ARtu 2021-04-09 | After a month of my complete YouTube absence I can finally present you something upload-worthy. To be fair, I worked on this layout for the total amout of two days and I think it turned out incredibly for that time frame. I consider this easily my best piece of gameplay as for the date of upload and I also believe this is the most fun thing I've ever built.As you can probably tell, the layout is heavily inspired by @JonathanGD , one of my favorite creators. (Verified) Drill Hood (Hard Demon) by Snailgang ARtu 2021-02-28 | Another Snailgand project has been complete 😼 This one, however, was started with the same idea as Whirlwind or Airoz Chaozflow — we picked an old level we really liked and remade it! This time we've chosen Grind District by Evasium and Terron. There were no really any boundaries on how "1.9-ish" or "modern-ish" it should be, that's why you can see a broad variety of approaches the creators went for their parts. I can say the level looks nice enough to be eye-pleasing, it isn't really any kind of a masterpiece in this sense. The strongest part of this level is definitely it's gameplay though: it's really original while refers to the original Grind District, it flows amazingly and plays perfectly. You can take advantage of the click sync to guide you through, not to mention it's extremely satisfying to do it over and over again. I'd say the dual is the hardest part to play and also the trickiest to learn, but it's still nothing TOO crazy. This level is one of the oldest projects of Elysium team (it's even older than Tropical Thunder). Although due to many complications (including the disband of Elysium team) the building process took quite a long time, but in the end, the level is finally done! As you can see, it doesn't really follow any specific theme like Tropical Thunder for instance, it's just mainly greyscale design megacollab, which, perhaps, doesn't make it stand out as much as other Elysium projects. Nevertheless, I still like this level by quite a lot. The song is hot and the visuals aren't too overloaded. Biohazard REBALANCE UPDATE verified | ARtu ARtu 2021-02-21 | After recieving some feedback from the community I've decided to update the level to make it more fun and fair so hopefully more people could enjoy it and would like to beat it! The update has definitely made it easier though, but I don't think it's a huge deal since the level is #150 on the Demonlist anyway, so it would have fallen shortly even without any action taken by me. As I mentioned in the video, here's more detailed description of what I've done:-The beginning ship part is heavily nerfed: a lot of the gaps are wider now.-The wave part is heavily nerfed: a lot of small spikes were deleted, mini wave spam sections are wider now.-The triprle spikes before the drop: the glow around it is brigher and there's more of it so the spikes are easier to see.-The drop UFO: it's hard to be exact here since this part has been buffed then nerfed but in general a lot of the gaps are a bit tighter now.-The drop ship: same thing as with drop UFO.-The memory ball part: the first click is easier now.-The dual ship part: fixed the skip EVERYONE exploited before :rage:That should be it for the changes. Faerie Layout - #17 ARtu 2021-02-16 | Hey! Long time no solo layout :) I made this one for the first round of Mazl's GP tournament. I actually had to keep it within some restrictions, like the upper limit of difficulty is Hard Demon and I also had to include symmetrical duals section, so that definitely affected my take on this song. My part in Wooms project ARtu 2021-02-03 | Ok so for that one I have to do some explanation guys. So basically this level is going to have a specific "factory" theme and the parts of it are supposed to meet some specific criteria, so for that I went with having some foreground, minimal structure coverage so that the custom BG can be put and boxy-kinda structures because I believe that works the best with such theme. I decided not to involve move triggers in the gameplay, although I definitely could. And for the last seconds if you're wondering what that supposed to be — it's kind of a location change: foreground and background shift and as I said — you arrive at the next location or "part" of the level. We thought of making a sequel when Thanatophobia started tremendously get popularity from both super well known players and unknown ones. Hundreds of players have beaten the level. It's very close to being finished now and you can expected the level to come out in a month or so (I hope). As for the part, I went for 1.9-ish look since that's what the collab theme is. The wait was worth it — it's definitely one of the coolest themed design levels out there, not to mention fun gameplay on top of it. I actually beat it twice: the first time was yesterday, I ocassionally beat it while I was waiting for my Dota 2 match to be found and I fluked it from like 50-ish percent and the second time was later the same day, I beat it on stream after a couple of stupid deaths on FerdeFunky's part. It's really easy and would be accessible for the majority of the players. There is no really "theme" for it though, it's just supposed to be bright and colorful. Future Funk II [Insane Demon] by JonathanGD | ARtu ARtu 2020-09-15 | A lot of people ask me what's my favorite GD level? Weirdly enough, I was never able to answer that simple question. However, this level now puts an end to any doubts — Future Funk II by JonathanGD is a perfect level for me and it has everything I love in GD levels.First of all it uses an amazing song by LemKuuja which I absolutely adore. I was never bored of playing the level even after dying at 96 and at 91 multiple times thanks to the song. However, the main reason I love Future Funk II is it's gameplay. I'm a big fan of Jonathan's gameplay and this level is not an exception. His levels are always sight readable, even his asymmetrical duals are learnt easily after a few practice runs. Every spam part in this level in insanely good and fun, it correlates with the song perfectly. These drop parts where you have to spam for a split second and then do a couple of precise clicks are definitely some of the most satisfying sections of the level. The duals also flow perfectly and I haven't encountred a single bug while playing the level. Although there are some difficulty spikes that I think could be fixed: those are dual miniwave section at 1:37, ufo part at 3:23 where you have to click 4 times quickly and the transition from ball to ship at 3:30.I wish I could say I recommend this level to everyone, but I believe this isn't gonna be a good experience for vast number of players, so I'd recommend you to play Future Funk II only if you're fine with several factors:1. Length (3 min 40 sec)2. A lot of spam parts3. Malfunction by me | 8 stars? ARtu 2020-09-12 | Feels good to finally have this level finished. I'm super happy with how it turned out. Can't believe I originally started this level as some sort of a deco practice for slow parts and now it's finished. By the way the level is about 62k objects which is under 80k which is kinda rare for GD levels today lol. I'm not totally sure about the difficulty, I and a couple of playtesters estimated it to be about 8* difficulty, but now looking at what newest 8 star levels look like I'm sorta leaning towards Easy Demon since there are some spots that are quite difficult to sightread in this level.
