Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption is the first VtM game before the widely known Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. If you are interested in Bloodlines, you should definitely play Redemption; it's a good, but very flawed game. Composed by Kevin Manthei.
The Steam version is nigh unplayable, I recommend buying the GOG version: gog.com/game/vampire_the_masquerade_redemption
Install guide:
After installing the game,
1) install the 1.1 community patch: e-mods.net/downloads/tools/redemption/VTMR_Patch_v1_1.zip
2) install Behar's widescreen fix: e-mods.net/downloads/mods/redemption/VTMR_Widescreen_By_behar.zip
3) optional: add Neural Redemption, an HD texture pack that uses upscaled versions of the original textures:

I recommend playing without the famed Age of Redemption mod (e-mods.net/) because it has FOV/camera issues in cutscenes, often cutting off people's heads in conversation, see comparison here: https://i.imgur.com/hMFtOSU.png
