The video game arrangement theme this time around was "cross-bosses," that is, classic exhilarating pieces of boss music arranged in the style of a different game! My patrons voted, and the top boss ended up being the Emperor Bulblax with its classic battle theme from Pikmin 1... but orchestrated in the style of Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom! Ever since I first played Breath of the Wild, I've imagined a Pikmin open-world game with the same kind of gameplay freedom. In such a game, of course the Emperor Bulblax would appear as a major boss to topple, though you could probably approach it with more methods than just throwing Pikmin onto it and avoiding its tongue. I invite you to imagine yourself strategizing against this behemoth beast with an arrangement in the style of modern Zelda games!
Instruments used:
• Shakuhachi - East West Ra
• Flute - Logic Sampler
• Japanese percussion - East West StormDrum, Logic Sampler, and samples courtesy of Waffles
• Strings - East West Hollywood Strings
• Gamelan - Logic Sampler
• Brass - East West Hollywood Brass
• Piano (legato) - Spectrasonics Keyscape
• Piano (staccato) - East West Bechstein Piano

• Xylophone - East West Hollywood Percussion
• Saxophone & lead trumpet - AcousticSamples VHorns
