I put my sideways hat on for this one folks that means its a sensitive topic so feel free to leave a comment... or eight.
A young man was tackled by police behind a local motorcycle dealership here in Vancouver and I am reacting to the real time footage from the security camera. Watch as I try to break down what little we can tell from this 16 minute video showing the end of the "Chase" followed by the tackle, knees, arm vice, arm locks and many more techniques all used on a what looks to be a cooperative subject. I am not a lawyer or police officer and pulling into the rear of any ally to stop a criminal would always be dangerous so i'd never do it. Those officers have bigger balls then 99% of us on a daily basis but sometimes it can and does go to far.
What do you guys think about the take down ? Do you think the force is justified in the situation being the lights were not on at the start of the video ?
