What would happen if they met face to face? This diorama features my own designs for laser cut, fdm printed and resin printed models. A successful resin epoxy art pour for the water feature, and lots and lots of miniature vegetation.All the colors blend together very nicely to the end result. I wanted the end glamor shots to resemble a night scene, with the light coming from inside the building, and moonlight illuminating the roof and the alien on top barely visible. COPY+PASTE Any Pattern!? Knarb Makes 2021-08-21 | Having a chance to test out and try and use a laser engraver for tabletop crafting was pretty interesting. The ESSENTIAL guide to build WH40k Ruins (scatter terrain) Knarb Makes 2021-03-24 | This set of scatter terrain pieces fit great on any Warhammer 40k Battlefield. This level of realism can be achieved by anyone with a little patience and some cheap supplies. This piece of terrain was inspired by the aesthetic of ruined/bombed out city battlefields, such as the Battle of Stalingrad.The half-started project that sparked as the catalyst for this build was a set of air dry clay made sandbag fortifications that had long sat on my shelf. Building the MEGA Cathedral (Wargaming Terrain) Knarb Makes 2021-03-15 | This is the largest scale model I have created so far, measuring in at 4 feet long, and around 3 feet wide with the attached Cloister. I drew inspiration from Gothic Cathedrals in Europe as well as games like Diablo, Mordheim, Warhammer 40k, and many other tabletop games.The main floorplan was heavily inspired from the Salisbury Cathedral in England, but the design has morphed as I got further into the project.I plan on using this as a piece of wargaming terrain as well as for large scale battles for Dungeons and Dragons. The Cathedral is broken up into several sections to allow for storage or for smaller scale buildings. Realistic MEDIEVAL Ruins Terrain (Gothic Cloister) Knarb Makes 2021-02-11 | I love building large pieces of terrain, but the storage options once you have something bigger than a foot across become limiting. I made this Medieval Cloister, perfect for Mordheim, DnD and Warhammer 40K as well. This is a set of modular ruins that come together to form a very detailed structure. This is the kind of building you would find attached to a medieval cathedral.This build video features XPS Foam detailing, Flocking, hot glue and popsicle stick crafting! I also go over the very simple paint scheme involving dry brushing, washes and how to add quick texture to the ground level to get realistic looking rubble.I’m exploring a new (for me) method of quickly prototyping and modeling complex structures, then producing them with a CNC Machine.This build was largely made possible by my father, who has built his own DIY CNC machine complete with dust extraction and a safety enclosure.
