Voyage Air Guitars has incorporated Graph Tech Ratio® machine heads and TUSQ® nuts into its lineup of travel guitars, improving tuning accuracy, stability, and consistency.
Built around a patented folding neck design, Voyage Air guitars provide full-scale playability in a compact format. The neck folds for transport and locks securely in place for performance, maintaining alignment and structural integrity.
Voyage Air instruments are constructed using traditional Tonewood’s and modern manufacturing methods to ensure consistent resonance, durability, and playability.
Graph Tech Ratio® machine heads are designed so each string responds evenly to tuning adjustments. By assigning a specific gear ratio to each string, the system allows for controlled, predictable tuning with fewer corrections.
TUSQ® nuts are engineered to deliver consistent tone and reduce friction at the string contact point. The material is uniform and resonant, contributing to sustain and clarity, while allowing strings to return to pitch more reliably after bending or tuning.
Together, Ratio® tuners and TUSQ® nuts provide a stable tuning system suited to a wide range of playing conditions.
“Ratio was developed to make tuning feel natural and consistent across every string,” said Dave Dunwoodie, Founder and CEO of Graph Tech Guitar Labs.
“Paired with TUSQ, it gives players a reliable system they don’t have to think about, it just works.”
“From an engineering standpoint, it’s about removing variables,” said Gray Bramwell, R&D Manager at Graph Tech Guitar Labs.
“With Ratio handling tuning response and TUSQ reducing friction, you get a system that stays stable and performs the same way every time.”
“The travel guitar category continues to grow as players look for portability without giving up performance,”
said Alex Banarer, Director of Brand Engagement, Media and Public Relations at Graph Tech Guitar Labs.
“Voyage Air reflects that shift, and with Ratio and TUSQ, players get the consistency they expect from a full-size instrument.”
