This is Part 5 of my Metroid Prime 4: Beyond 100% Walkthrough on Nintendo Switch.
In this series, I cover every upgrade, scan, item, boss, and key location as we progress through the game at 100% completion.

In this part, we upgrade to the Vi-O-LA Suit and obtain the Vi-O-La. We then ride over to Tower 2 and begin descending into it to restore power to the generator. Along the way we defeat the Flight Drone MCU and...Sylux?

- Mini-Boss: Flight Drone MCU - 18:48
Attacks: The Flight Drone MCU is capable of firing three energy blasts back-to-back from its revolving cores, or it can focus its power directly by firing an energy beam directly at our last known position. After a moment, it will stretch its three cores out around it and close in on us in an attempt to ram into us.
Strategy: The first two attacks are simple enough to dodge while strafing or continuously moving (be aware that we are fighting on a balcony and can fall off for fall damage!). Keep firing regular or charged shots at the smaller Flight Drones orbiting the MCU to thin out their number for the attack phase. Once the MCU stretches out its cores to ram us, swap to the Psychic Visor and fire a Control Beam shot. Each of the three segments of the Control Beam must make contact with, and destroy one of the MCU's revolving cores. Once all three cores are destroyed by the same Control Beam Shot, the MCU's shield will go down, allowing us to damage it and repeat the process once the shield goes back up.
- Mini-Boss: Sylux? (Psy-lux?) - 22:21
The Sylux we face in Tower 2 is not the real Sylux — it is a Psy-bot that mimics his abilities.
Because of this, it cannot be scanned and will not appear in the Logbook.
Attacks: Psy-lux has many tools in its arsenal. It can strafe while firing multiple energy shots at us, hover in the air before slamming into the ground to make a shockwave that we have to jump over, create two waves of electric crystal shards that it will then throw at us, charge at us and attempt to slash us, hover in the air and blast three waves of spark shots around the room, fire a large beam in a circular motion around the room, and spin in a tornado form and attempt to ram into us.
Strategy: For most attacks, a simple side strafe (or backwards strafe for the charge slash), are enough to dodge them, and the large beam is dealt with by ducking under it with Morph Ball. Continually fire at Psy-lux while dodging attacks until it starts its Tornado-like attack. Enter Morph Ball and land three Psychic Bomb attacks to stun Psy-lux and get in some free hits. Upon its second and beyond runs of using the Tornado attack it will speed up dramatically, so be prepared to drop bombs earlier. Upon defeating Psy-lux, we are awarded with an Energy Tank.
