Today I’m testing two nearly identical Volkswagen ID. Buzz Long Wheelbase models on the highway:
➡️ RWD version
➡️ GTX all-wheel drive version
Both have the same battery, heat pump, same 20" tires, and almost identical configurations. The only major difference is the drivetrain — and today we’ll find out how much that really affects energy consumption, range, efficiency, and charging speed.
We drive both cars with identical settings (speed, temperature, climate control, load) on a ~100 km highway loop, charge from 80% → drive → 80%, and compare the results in detail.
