I made a map that showcases the weapons and enemies in the game so far!
It takes place within the Paradox Engine!
Here's some time-stamps for the stuff shown in the video!:
The Comissar
0:13 - visible projectiles
0:45 - invisible projectiles in action
This unit can call for reinforcements!
What it does is that it fires off invisible projectiles (made visible for this demonstration) that spawn the enemies wherever they land.
The projectiles seem to not work when they hit the wall or ceiling, so i made them bounce off those.
The Knife
0:22
The melee weapon for the game. It can be tapped repeatedly pretty fast. Usually it makes the enemy flinch when hit, so it lessens their chances of retaliation.
For its' alt-fire, it does a strong stab, but takes long intervals per stab so it can't be spammed.
The PPSh-41
0:59 - Full Auto
1:32 - Burst Fire mode
A weak submachine gun that fires fast! It is has very low accuracy though.
It has an burst-fire mode which remedies that problem at the cost of lower fire-rate
The AK-47
1:44 - Hip-fire
2:08 - ADS
This rifle is stronger than the other bullet-based weapons and it is is only slightly less accurate than the pistol. It however has an ADS mode, which reduces visibility but increases the accuracy for the weapon.
The Molotov Cocktail
2:18
The molotov is a grenade that can be thrown, and leaves a big radius of flames wherever it hits. It bounces off walls.
When NPCs die from fire damage, they spawn flame particles that can hurt NPCs and the player, mimicking spreading fire.
The Flame Thrower
2:31
It throws fire. It can also leave flame particles on the ground like the molotov.
The Flak Cannon
2:53
It fires flak rounds which send out a bunch of shrapnel flying in all directions upon detonation. The flak flies a long range.
The Tesla Gun
3:31
Fires bolts of lightning. It is similar to the Lightning Gun from Quake, however the lightning homes in on enemies and can strike enemies from blind corners! It uses up 4 ammo per interval
Stalin (still uses Hitler's sprites)
4:27
I tried out a concept where Stalin's power-armor can be healed by the tesla gun, therefore discouraging its' use against him.
at 4:42 you can see that I coded him to make a sound when his health reaches its' half. As soon as I used the gun on him, his health increased and he stops saying the phrase.
at 5:18, i break his power-armor (for pussies) and I was finally able to deal damage to him with the Tesla Gun!
Boss Fight Reinforcement Concept
5:40
Hans Grosse is just a place holder. I was just testing out something i did, where the boss will start spawning Commissars when their health is low
at 6:06, you can see he started spawning the officers which called more reinforcements.
The Siberian Huskies
7:09
I edited their sprites and removed the gore when they die.
They lunge at you and a successful hit can deal great amounts of damage upon the player and can kill him in seconds. Thankfully, they're easily dodgeable.
