Hopefully I have the colour balance correct on this one - some areas will have bad bit-rates thanks to a certain attack.
I'm pretty sure if I was not employed, I would have done this clear so... SO much sooner. Certainly not two full seasonal Festivals after I first unlocked this mode. ANYWAY worth warning again, this is an unlockable mode for Void Stranger way deep into the game, and which deosn't match standard gameplay for Void Stranger. Consider watching this video to be a big spoiler.
Also, plenty of flashing at times - the limits of 2-bit colour palettes.
Compared to the first video I linked of this bonus game, this is a CLEAR video, where I get a final score of 3,553,126 points. Not the best, but certainly my best! This shows how to get all the secrets, as well as where you can find all the cats - some are based on your own position, so you need to be wary when trying to find 'em! With the statue fight, it's possible to minimize its bullshittery by weakening all the spheres equally, then popping them in rapid succession - the number of orbs remaining denotes attacks used, so you won't get ridiculous nigh-undodgeable patterns if you time things right.
As for the follow-up, the "What if..." section that comprises the whole second half of the fight, the first two sections have a hard time limit of 2:30 each... but you likely won't run across these unless you actively try to do so. This gives the music enough time to fully complete a loop (once on the first phase, twice on the second phase), and gives you limited time to practice those dodges. Zero-ranging is your best bet for clearing as quick as possible - the fewer random patterns you need to work around, the better! And the duo WILL try and revive each other if one is left dead at the end of a pattern - you'll know they're close to death as they change to a dark shade when they take damage.
The final phase (whose name is probably somewhere in ZeroRanger) is mostly the same all the time - streaming bullets, then 23 sets of eight diamonds (with the 12th set onwards getting smaller slashable diamonds - but watch out), and finally whatever the gosh dang happens with the transition before BoWaP and shifting bullets in a direction. The phase with the background can be cheesed when the bullets freeze, as all the bullets fired from the boss only spread outwards. From the third phase onwards, she starts firing shots inwards, stopping you from using this strat. And whilst these patterns CAN be dodged and slashed through... I've been trying to clear this on-and-off for five months. My patience is not high at this rate lol.
it's very nice of the game to reward me six points at the end as well. quite symbolic, indeed.

![Terraria - Moon Lord Solo (Melee, Expert Mode, 1.3.0.8)
[15/12/2022 EDIT: Seems Youtubes decided this stuff is popular enough that adverts need to be stapled to them. I do not monetise my videos, and have no control over adverts being placed on my videos as per Youtubes whims; I apologise to folks who are unable to circumvent these things for one reason or another. If you have a problem with this, I recommend becoming determined enough to repeat the feat yourself.]
(for added effect, feel free to play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9eUqLx86-g in the background)
So that took too long. After four or five failed attempts, I finally knuckled down, gathered all the power I could, and took on the Moon Lord with all that I had. I tell ya, Defence is good, but its not worth Warding if you cant kill the guy fast enough.
Done with Melee weapons (yes it counts, its attached to the hilt!), I once again used Beetle Shell armour for the damage reduction. My main weapons were the Godly Daybreak and the Demonic Solar Eruption, backed up by the following Accessories:
- Menacing Celestial Shell
- Menacing Ankh Shield
- Lucky Charm of Myths
- Menacing Destroyer Emblem
- Menacing Worm Scarf
- Menacing Warrior Emblem
Six minutes to defeat the Expert Moon Lord compared to the Summoners 1-minute kill on Normal... Im not entirely sure what to make of that, but hey here we are. Enjoy! Terraria - Moon Lord Solo (Melee, Expert Mode, 1.3.0.8)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/J7XtiK4DMQM/mqdefault.jpg)

Still working on this Master Mode run. Its rude. Turns out the Empress of Light is RUDER, though. Her attacks (at least on Master Mode) dont grant invulnerability frames. Anything that counts as a dodge (Hallowed Armours set-bonus, or the Black Belt/Ninja Gear) will still do so - Ive seen people use it for the daytime clears. But you can see when Im getting tapped by a ton of bullets here, then at around 0:55 I get hit by a stray Gastropod (cause of course I do), theres definitely NO mercy given by the Empress.
I was obviously going for a win, but summons is as summons do, and I fluffed a dodge. Ho-hum. Hopefully this vids useful lol Terraria 1.4 - Empress of Light Attempt and Observation](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/JhoO5R5-yT8/mqdefault.jpg)

If you have a problem with this, my suggestion would involve buying the OST to properly listen to the music. I could make other suggestions, but theyd border on theft, and as such Im not going to do it.]
Someone kindly asked, and I provided, seeing as I had an hour or two to spare. Its Peaceful Peaks, the music that plays in the mountainous regions of Rayman 1, looped and extended to ten minutes or so of playtime. It isnt a PERFECT loop like a lot of the tracks Ive extended, but considering Rayman tracks never really looped in the first place, Ive done what I can with what Ive got.
The music was originally created by Rémi Gazel. You can find more of his music on his MySpace account: http://www.myspace.com/gazelmusique
Rayman is owned by Ubisoft.
