Between drums and poetry, we use ancestral energy to visualize a better tomorrow. How can we dance the word to break structural patriarchy? How can we use our art and our magic to raise our voices in love? In what ways do we struggle to manifest afrodreams where we all can live?
Thursday December 10 at 4pm, we will be in conversation with Luz de Cuba, for our first listening tour in Spanish, titled Dancing with the ancestors. Tell all your Spanish speaking sisters to join us for the IG live, and we will be posting a translated version afterwards.
Luz de Cuba is an afrocuban priestess and griot of AfroPoeBaila with more than 12 years of experience. Her art is an ancestral and futurist blend of spoken word, Afro beat, popular wisdom, feminism, electronic music, Yoruba prayers and an interpretation of instrument/deity Sekereo.
