Chicago Tonight reporter and Latino Voices host, Joanna Hernandez moderated a live virtual conversation featuring Kenya Elan, Queer Comedian, and live performance producer ; Shomari Daniels aka Zeetus Lapetus, Intergalactic Funk DJ and Booking Agent; Graphic Artist and DJ, All the Way Kay J, and Akaelah Flotho, of the Lavendar Project, a Chicago based grassroots archiving project recording the rich tapestry of Black Queer histories. The panel discussed how art has been an integral part of LGBTQ’s history of activism and safety in Chicago.
