Would you like to lend me your voice for an upcoming project? I'd like to produce walkthroughs of (retro) games, in which characters/NPC's are voiced by fellow YouTubers.
I have no real requirements. Whilst a decent microphone is preferred, you can go a long way with just about any mic honestly. This is meant as a fun project for the community to work on together foremost. In the process, we will also make these games more accessible.
For the first game to receive this treatment on this channel, I've chosen The Battle of Olympus on the NES. This game offers quite an extensive list of NPC's, so lots of people will have a chance to pitch in a voice or two. Per NPC there will be few lines, making it easily manageable for most people, not requiring big time investments. This game is chosen as a test case for both me, but also for people to try out some very mild voice acting. If things work out, I do wish to cover bigger games as well, with bigger, recurring, parts.
Below you'll find a list of characters. Of the main ones, you may claim one as yours, if it's still open. The different side characters appear in the the game multiple times... quite a lot of times actually, you can find specific amounts in the list below. Besides each category, you'll see how many people want to voice that side character thus far. Some people want to fill multiple roles, so this can mean that categories actually exceed the total amounts of available roles. I do my best to give everyone at least 1 part though.
Please note that main characters are only named as such because they are specifically named in the game. It has little bearing on how much dialogue they actually have, as some of the side characters have more lines than some of the gods for example.
Once I'm ready to send out the lines, the number of characters in one particular group of side characters will be divided up randomly amongst those interested. First amongst those who have no other part yet and want that specific role, than extras (those without particular choice in roles). For the main NPC's... they are divided up on a first come, first serve basis.
Main characters:
Heroine (biggest part): TAKEN
Zeus (god/male): TAKEN
Keleos (human/male/old): TAKEN
