First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for nearly 500 subs and 50,000 total video views! ^_^ You guys are amazing! Even if I didn't get a chance to personally thank each and every one of you for subscribing, I do truly appreciate all the support! :D
Finally got around to covering the mega hit of 2011! :) I've wanted to do this one for such a long time now--and the only thing that prevented me from doing so was the impossible keyboard solo. Or rather, my failed attempts at trying to learn it XD So, instead of spending even more time on it, I decided to just scrap it. With all those ridiculous arpeggios gone, I managed to polish the rest of the song in about a week ^_^
The recording this time was actually much more tedious than usual because my camera just wouldn't cooperate. The piece of junk would sometimes randomly start vibrating in the middle of a take, and force me to stop. Suffice it to say, I was pretty damn frustrated. Took me over 4 hours to get the recording done, and here I am uploading this thing at 2 AM -_-
I was planning on re-recording the intro with video, but I decided against having to put off the whole thing even further. Instead, I just threw some reverb into the old recording and called it a day.
In any case, I'm just glad I got this one out of the way--even if my chops are sore and I'm feeling completely burnt out XD Oh well, no more difficult covers from me for a while! :)
