In this episode of the Vlog@HLF25, we speak to Amanda Randles, who attended the first HLF in 2013 and now returns as the first Young Researcher to become a Laureate!
We discuss scientific integrity with Young Researchers and continue the conversation with Alumnus Lonni Besançon, who participated in a panel discussion on the issue. Agnes Szmolenszky, Executive Director of the Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation, tells us about the importance of dialogue, both within mathematics and computer science, as well as between the research community and the rest of society.
We finish by celebrating a wonderful week at Heidelberg Castle!

The 12th Heidelberg Laureate Forum took place from September 14–19, 2025. #HLF25
The Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) is an annual networking conference where 200 carefully selected young researchers in mathematics and computer science spend a week interacting with the laureates of the most prestigious awards in their disciplines: the Abel Prize, ACM A.M. Turing Award, ACM Prize in Computing, Fields Medal, IMU Abacus Medal and Nevanlinna Prize.
