The Heidelberg Laureate Forum is in full swing and in today's HLF Vlog we dive into machine learning – the hot topic for #HLF22. We interview Been Kim, Staff Research Scientist at Google Brain about how to make sure that machines and humans strive for the same goals, and we interact with machines at the I AM A.I. exhibition that is part of the HLF. We talk to Antonia Mey, from the University of Edinburgh, about her work with the IMAGINARY project, which developed this exhibition. We also talk to Volker Gaibler, Head of Exhibitions & Outreach at the HLF, about making it possible for everyone to hear about the research discussed at #HLF22.

The 9th Heidelberg Laureate Forum took place from September 18–23, 2022.
The Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) is an annual networking conference where 200 carefully selected young researchers in mathematics and computer science spend a week interacting with the laureates of the most prestigious awards in their disciplines: the Abel Prize, ACM A.M. Turing Award, ACM Prize in Computing, Fields Medal, IMU Abacus Medal and Nevanlinna Prize.
