Join me for a wonderful day out in the classic British seaside town of Scarborough, where good friends, sunshine, and plenty of nostalgia made for a memorable adventure.
As it happened, our visit coincided with Armed Forces Day, so alongside all the traditional seaside fun, we were able to soak up the fantastic atmosphere of the celebrations and pay tribute to those who serve.
From enjoying proper fish and chips by the sea, trying our luck in the arcades, and taking my first paddle in the sea in over 40 years, to simply enjoying great company and the sights and sounds of Scarborough, this was one of those days that reminds you how special simple pleasures can be.
