August 3rd 2017: Rick Harrison, the star of the HISTORY’s hit show “Pawn Stars," attended the American Numismatic Association (ANA) World's Fair of Money. He met fans, signed autographs and toured the U.S Mint. I was lucky enough to meet with him and receive a personalised Coin Couch auto graph.
Harrison is the genius of “Pawn Stars” and worked hard to get the concept of the show to television. The series, which launched in 2009, gives a behind-the-scenes view into the Harrison family-run Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, three generations of the Harrison family use their sharp-eyed skills to assess what's real and what's fake.
“Pawn Stars” is airing its 14th season in the United States and is currently watched in more than 150 countries and in over 30 different languages. The show is one of TV’s biggest cable hits and draws millions of viewers. Since the show’s premiere, the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop has gone from seeing just 70 customers a day, to up to 4,000 daily visitors.
