Few days ago I was invited by my friends to the Sewing and Stitchery Expo, I never hear of this before and I am glad that I went. It was bigger than what I was expecting. I try to just show all that you can find there without too much captions, I didn't post in this video what I bought, it is not a lot but the video was already too long, so I will share it in my next vlog. I live here a link to the Expo website:
sewexpo.com
NOTES:
* Ticket $14 per day (they have special prices for more than one day)
* Classes had a price depending of the duration of classes
* Parking is free, in front of the Expo building
* Food and drinks: different option inside the building and in the park area
* Events usually at night
* Charity projects
* No all the vendors have credit card machines, bring some cash
* No all the vendors have plastic bags but they were giving a 2020 expo bag at the entrance (Or bring an extra bag if you are planning to do some serious shopping :)
* Get comfy shoes and cloth for all the walking and standing around.
* If you have little kids: I seen a lot of mom's that were not able to enjoy too much, kids tend to get a little bored walking watching vendors.
PRICES
* Patterns from $9 to $18 depending of the designer and size
* Sewing kits from $29 to $35
* Fabric $13 + per yard (the minimum that you can buy is 1/2 yard from some vendors)
* Food: different option and price
* Yarns: almost each vendor that I visit the cheapest yarn was $30
* Threads: different option and prices and similar to the regular stores
* Sewing machines: great deals for the expo, my friend got a Bernette that the original price was $1700 for $999
I hope all this information is helpful and it is not any official info, it is my observation and me just walking and asking prices, watching what is going on around.
