For V-Loc™ installations, always follow all necessary safety precautions.
This installation will require a concrete corer, a short level (preferably magnetized), a concrete trowel, a small sledgehammer and concrete mix. In addition, you'll need to tape over the V-Loc socket openings to prevent concrete from getting into the socket. For bottom plate models, just tape over the top opening.

1. Place the V-Loc into the cored hole with its curled fins down, level with the concrete surface and oriented properly. Fill in the cavity between the socket and cored walls with concrete. Trowel the filled concrete to level. Cut away the tape.

2. Using the level, check for plumb in both directions on the stub or the inside faces of the thick leg angle, adjusting if necessary. With the V-Loc plumb and level, allow concrete to cure fully according to the manufacturer's specs before proceeding.

3. With concrete fully cured, insert your post or support into the V-Loc socket. Abut it to the thick leg angle. Making sure its extractor hole is nearest the top, insert the V-Loc wedge into socket at a slight angle. Hammer the wedge in with the small sledge until it is flush with the top of the V-Loc.
