The course "VLC109 - Phonetics and Phonology" is free for everyone. It discusses the main principles and methods of articulatory phonetics, introduces the notion of the phoneme and applies it to Present-Day English and introduces some selected topics of general phonology, for example, distinctive features and the machineries of contemporary phonological theories.
All data that is used in VLC109 is licensed as CC BY and can thus freely be used for further research, for in class use or simply to find out more about words and sentences in Present-Day English.
