I recorded my Windows tablet with my phone, so there is a lot of flickering. If you have photosensitive epilepsy, you may not want to watch this.

(This is Windows 10 running on a tablet made for Windows 10.)

After recording, I brought up the lack of negative overlap to sdercolin (which I get wrong every time I say it in the video - I'm sorry!) He immediately added a new patch with a new mode that allows for it by setting left blank to something other than the start of the label!

I also realized how to put into words what VLabeler does and replaces. This IS NOT a full SetParam replacement. It is a replacement for the parameter settings GUI in UTAU. If you can do it in the parameter settings GUI (aka the small window that pops up with CTRL + G with the pink and blue and lines), you can do it here more easily! It is faster, easier, and actually let's me use the touch screen without wildly flailing my finger around.

It borks the parameter order to be grouped by samples the same way UTAU does (something that only matters to me most likely) and doesn't allow for bulk editing of parameters. Which, as I learned today, I can just do in Google Sheets with the offline Google docs extension. (The poor tablet has like 50gb of hard drive space, so I'm avoiding installing anything like libre office.)

So yeah, if you could do what you need in the utau oto editor, then you don't need SetParam. You just need VLabeler. If you need more, your choices are spreadsheets or SetParam. The only thing SetParam can do that spreadsheets can't is parameter estimation, but I'm not sure if many people use that! (Adding aliases is more frustrating in spreadsheets, but doable.)
