Virtual Reality has provided an innovative and exciting medium for the appreciation of art and HTC has been at the forefront pushing this endeavor forward. Since 2015, HTC and the National Place Museum have collaborated in reimagining and reinterpreting many masterpieces. VIVE Arts: A Journey Inside Paintings & Calligraphy is one of the fruits of this ongoing collaboration.
A big part of this VR Art Exhibition is the HTC-produced VR title based on the Qing Dynasty masterpiece "Up the River During Qingming". It lets viewers examine the painting more closely, and features interactive games of iconic scenes, such as the Rainbow Bridge and Golden Orchid Restaurant, depicted in the scroll. Through the VIVE Pro headset, you can appreciate art the way it was meant to be appreciated, and in ways never before thought possible.
Also part of the exhibition are the immersive VR recreations of the "The Spirit of Autobiography" and "Roaming through Fantasy Land" which users can enjoy as well.
