As VivaTech celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2026, the event is stepping far beyond the walls of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and bringing innovation directly into the heart of the French capital. On June 14, one of the most famous avenues in the world, the Champs-Élysées, becomes a giant open-air laboratory dedicated to technology, sustainability, mobility, artificial intelligence, robotics, health, culture, and the future of society. Under the banner “Venez vivre le futur” (“Come Experience the Future”), this free public exhibition transforms a section of the iconic avenue into an immersive journey where visitors can discover, test, and interact with cutting-edge innovations from some of the most exciting companies and startups in Europe and beyond.
Designed around the giant letters forming the word VIVATECH, the exhibition is organized into thematic worlds, each representing a key challenge or opportunity for the years ahead. Visitors are invited to explore topics ranging from smart cities and mobility to climate action, health technologies, robotics, space exploration, artificial intelligence, education, employment, entertainment, and digital culture. Unlike traditional exhibitions where innovations are often displayed behind barriers, the Champs-Élysées experience emphasizes direct interaction and hands-on demonstrations, allowing the public to better understand how these technologies may soon become part of everyday life.
One of the most impressive sections focuses on City & Mobility. Here, visitors discover how technology is helping make urban environments more sustainable and efficient. VusionGroup showcases VusionLive for Fresh, an AI-powered retail platform designed to optimize fresh food management, reduce waste, and improve customer experiences through image recognition, sensors, and real-time data analysis. Urban Cuisine demonstrates how indoor agriculture can bring fresh produce directly into homes with smart gardening systems capable of producing vegetables and herbs year-round. La Poste offers an immersive virtual reality experience that transports visitors into the heart of extreme weather events such as floods, heatwaves, and storms, helping illustrate the real-world consequences of climate change and the importance of adaptation. Agua de Sol presents its remarkable SunAir Fountain technology, capable of producing drinking water using solar energy alone, eliminating the need for plastic bottles while reducing environmental impact. One of the most ambitious projects featured is Climate Impulse, led by explorer Bertrand Piccard and eco-engineer Raphaël Dinelli. Their hydrogen-powered aircraft aims to achieve the first nonstop round-the-world flight without emissions by 2029, demonstrating how clean technologies can redefine the future of aviation.
