Visual Soil Assessment is based on a visual appraisal of soil quality, presenting key soil and plant performance indicators in a scorecard format. Apart from texture, soil indicators are dynamic, providing a useful early warning of changes in soil condition. Senior lecturer in soil systems at UNE, Oliver Knox, demonstrates how easy it is to conduct this assessment, in a series of 5 short videos:
