Like any post apocalyptic film, The Last Hotspot was a visual effects heavy film, with most of it relying on fixing production errors and sky replacement. Out of the 75 visual effects shots, about 60 of them were for removing (or adding) graffiti out of the scene, painting out equipment in the BG, and of course, sky replacements... lots of sky replacement.

One scene alone took over a month of visual effects work. I had to paint out inappropriate graffiti in the background of each shot which we did not catch while filming. This meant a month of paint and roto work.
A lot of other effects went into the film like simulating dust particles, smoke, and floating debris in the air. Also removing and adding make up onto actors faces, and extending punches in fight scenes.
