Welcome to the Satellite Health Facility, where health care workers from Hamilton Health Sciences & St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton care for patients waiting to transition to the community.
The Satellite Health Facility was previously a hotel and is now an extension of our hospitals. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was converted to a healthcare facility to ensure patients continued receiving quality care while hospitals experienced high patient volumes.
Now, our healthcare providers continue to deliver quality care and support to patients waiting for transition to a community setting, such as a long-term care home.
