Delta Air Lines and the Queens Museum present Skylight Gems by Virginia Overton as a part of the LaGuardia Arts Program.
This work features a multi-level sculpture inspired by skylights, an iconic characteristic of the industrial buildings and warehouses in New York which can be seen flying into LGA. The piece incorporates recycled material, sourced from project scrap, to highlight Delta’s commitment to sustainability.
Virginia Overton is a New York-based, featured in New York’s Whitney Museum of American Art and MOMA. She is the first female artist to have a solo exhibition at the Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, Queens.
