Zion Canyon received 1.90” of rain in about 19 hours on September 9, 2014. The Virgin River surged over 1,000 cubic feet per second several times and peaked at nearly 4,800 CFS. This video was taken near the Court of the Patriarchs at 8:30 am, when the river was flowing at about 1,900 CFS.
