A teacher's viral video put Wheatley High School and HISD students at the center of conversation about literacy.

Darius Williams, career and technical education teacher, reported his senior students struggled with reading and writing skills during the first week of the school year on his social media channels.

Just a few days later, Wheatley High School celebrated its first "A" accountability rating from the Texas Education Agency.
