Violinist Alex DePue's latest series of ongoing videos featuring new and wildly hot musical performances each week!
From those "BIG NAME ACTS" who stop through the area to say hello to The Fiddler, all the way to his own "home-grown" mix of super-musicians, as the "La Marina House Band", DePue's "Music From The Underground" proves to become a most-talked-about series, featuring over the top talent doing what it is they do best... each, in the peak of their prowess on his/her instrument.
This caliber of cats (best left in a caged environment) is so good they belong in a ZOO, and only afforded to be admired by audience members from a safe distance. Instead, we get to hear this band develop from day ONE, through this eclectic mix of performance videos, lifted directly from those live appearances at DePue's home venue, La Marina Restaurant at The Baja Cove... up close and personal.

In this episode, from the very first public performance of the newly formed quintet, DePue steps aside to feature Director of Music at UABC Ensenada Mexico on the piano, Sr. Pavel Cortez.
Here is the band performing Pavel's own composition, a work lovingly entitled by the rest of the band members, "Pavel's Song", because they were sick of asking him for a title.
As it should be! You will hear this unreal pianist let it all out on the stage with this work, while the rest of us (Alex in particular) struggle just to stay ALIVE! "Pavel's Song" is followed by Aria Noelle Curzon's swanky take on "All Of Me".
