In this experience, we are taking a look at an application called Vintage VR. Did you know that the first technological underpinnings of today's modern Head-Mounted Displays actually were invented as early as 1838?! In this video, I give a brief account of the history of Virtual Reality and show you an application that lets you experience the first stereoscopic images and photographs by simulating the first Stereoscope. Before the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive, tourism, business and recreation was performed through this primitive form of VR technology:
