Yesterday, I did a level request stream on my Twitch channel (twitch.tv/ausk_gd) and got a few levels by danerdogger requested. All of them were nice looking, but this one, Vintage Season, caught my eye.
It's a simplistic effect level, which features a lot of simple but really good looking designs. All of the elements work really well and the colors were really well picked. You may find the yellow at the first part weird, but if you take the "Vintage" part of the name, it definitely makes sense. Later that stream, I got many other danerdogger levels, and I can say they are criminally underrated. Their levels always have an unique touch to them and nice theming. Something I'd tell danerdogger to work on is the gameplay, since you can easily cheese some obstacles. Other than that, this is a fantastic level with decent gameplay and awesome visuals and I personally really, really enjoyed it. I'd send this level for a feature for sure and don't expect less from Rob - this will most certainly get a feature despite the simplicity. This is a great example of a simple but really good looking level. Everything works well together and there's nothing I really dislike about it. My favorite part - if I had to pick one - would be the last, simply because of the outstanding color scheme the creator picked. This level has incredible vibes and almost feels like it's not a level because of the atmosphere and the way it works well with the song. Vintage Season is one of my new favorite levels and I'm already following danerdogger to see what other bangers he yet has to show us.
