On todays episode were back with Mike and his mate Simon. mike with his XD falcon and Simon with his HZ GTS Monaro. The XD was set up as more of a race car when Mike got it a few years back. It had no roll cage so it was easy to put it back to more of a street car. Mike said he wanted to go with a grandpa spec look so he has had some custom stock rims made a bit wider and a touch taller, the paint is factory Polar White and its not to low so it has that factory look. But it holds a couple of subtle surprises. first is the custom fabricated bumper bars that have been made to replicate the plastic bars, and they look mint. Mikes not shore who did the job as they were on the car when he bought it but whoever did them did a great job. Then theirs the tubs in the rear, when you open the boot you don't really notice anything different until you realise it has been tubed for bigger wheels. The way it has been done keeps it looking factory and subtle. Its running a 351 witch is the motor that came with it, But it was a bit racy for the street so Mike has changed the heads and rebuilt the bottom end to be a bit more suitable for the street. Auto box and the 9 inch diff was taken out and the original period diff back in. This thing is a great car. With its little custom touches and more original looks it reminds me of the true petrol head build from back in the day.

Next up is Simon with his time capsule HZ GTS Monaro. Like a lot of the GTS's we see on the channel this one is all original. everything that was there when it left the factory is still there. It makes all the right clunks and squeaks, it has the shin buster exhaust pipes and the classic tartan inserts in the trim. as well as all the GTS fruit. This one has the 308 5lt engine as apposed to the 253 4.2lt more commonly used in these cars. the paint is Atlantic Blue with colour coded bumpers and it sits on factory GTS rims. Simon grew up in a Holden family and loves getting out whenever he can in his classic. And what better a way to cruise is there than in an Aussie icon, The HZ GTS Monaro.

Next mike shows us around there man cave. Its full of memorabilia, signs and race suits and fuel jugs and so much more. He even has a special surprise item he shares the story behind.

Lastly Mick and Andy get involved with the Variety Bash Cruise every year to raise funds for children in remote and country areas. They are raising funds for charity, so if you in a position to give, please check out this link: https://fundraise.varietywa.org.au/fundraisers/BananasinPyjamas1302/bash24
