Restored Bernina 117L sewing machine from early 1950’s. Rarer version with dual tension. Also has the knee lift and decorative stitch features.
These sewing machines were also available in industrial configurations with under-table motors. Rotary hook and all metal construction, built to last several lifetimes.
Removed from sewing cabinet for restoration and to add a new motor. Will be returned to its home once the cabinet is restored.
The Class 117 was Bernina’s first zigzag sewing machine. It was manufactured from 1938 until the mid 50’s, and can still be found in use today, appreciated for its strength and solid design.
