Here we have ‘Vinland Saga Deluxe Book Three’ written and illustrated by Makoto Yukimura and published by Kodansha Comics. This deluxe edition includes volumes 7 to 9 as well as bonus content, color art, maps, concept art and interviews.
This book is bound in a black faux-leather cover with a unique logo stamping for this third book with inscriptions in style of Anglo-Saxon manuscripts. The book is sewn and it opens up well. The paper is thick, acid-free paper of good quality and the print quality is also very good.
My own experience with Vinland Saga has been through these deluxe editions, and it’s so exciting to follow Makoto’s story through this physical deluxe format. Most of the manga I read is digital on a tablet, so having an over-sized physical copy of one of my favorite mangas is definitely something I can recommend.
