After coming to the horrifying realization that two original songs and a half-arsed cover wouldn't be enough to support a whole tour, the bois of Vindasnatch put pen to pad once again to great comedic effect.
LYRICS:
Verse 1 (Mick)
Gripping the mic with both hands
cause they're so sweaty if you don't
you might let go and ruin your whole performance
It just goes to show that
no man is free from pre-show anxiety
wether you're rapping 'bout society or romance
piety or profanity wether you're pro, am, known or unknown
wether you're known for being overrated over-hated
whatever reputation that you don't have
or don't lack or once had or lost twice or want back
Y'see nerves don't ask they just get all ous
so what you need is a scrote-sack some testicals nuts
and epinephrine in an epi-pen a medical must
and then with everything assembled
guess you're ready to bust
Capital B in this bitch put your thoughts in a jar
Cap it and keep them within then just drop like the jaws
attached to the people you sing for and often as not
you'll actually meet expectations reservations are lost
emanating every way into the ether they can
like every day you spent with pages trying to bleed from a pen
And just in case they get away
with giving ratings that are below a ten
just know that they need you more than you need them
and every sentence that you spend trying to beg for respect
is better spent giving the mic non-consensual sex
Hook (Mick and Mahk)
Don't doubt
Don't have your faith
shaken, stirred
or disturbed
Believe
with all your heart
Believe
me, it isn't hard
Come now
don't you agree?
Somehow
both you and me
just accept
words as harsh
as "It's like picking a card"
Verse 2 (Mouse Kid)
I sympathize with anyone taking an olympic dive
head-first into the rap cesspool unimmunized
pick your fights pick them wisely
picket signs big and shiny
depicting lies saying you should pick a side
No way pick a corner stay in it
That's an order, mate
It's been court ordained
in the court of mainstream
consensus I get it's inevitable
You'll lose your head then your sense then your control
But you can forstall it
Maybe keep it at bay
Try to avoid the flak, hate and bad days
That way you can last way into the future
'stead of fading into memory
like movie theatre ashtrays
Backlash may hit you every once in a while
a couple of times
It's nothing to cry over
whenever some random child
rolls their blindfolded eyes and whines
just cause they can't stomach your rhymes
Cause try as you might you can't
please everyone all the time
Appetites are too easily won over
by vapid hyped-up emcees who are nothing but
dry, trashy, trite and a breeze to one-up so just
(Hook)
Verse 3 (Maaarrrrrrr… Boy, you weren't kidding.)
Maybe human beings weren't meant to live this way
Writing rhymes for a living eh?
well, it's a little late to start regretting everything you say
Have you even listened to what's listened to by kids today?
The whole world is wack and out of it
Rappers who are bad and proud of it
are always laying tracks down so it's
not enough to have a voice
You have to shout a bit
Kinda sad? maybe so, but don't be tapping out just yet
Until your back gives out from lifting the bar high
just archive defeatism
Elitism's our guide
The energy begins to flow as soon as I start mine
but complacency should maybe set off an alarm
Why?
Well, perhaps the lack of acclimation atrophies your brain
Have to rack it just to back up halfway after a mistake
Classic rap: You're happy with your fame until one day
you accidentally in the wrong place at the wrong time
casually say something that you shouldn't say
but you don't know that 'til you say it
so you go back to reframe it, but by that point it's too late
You can laugh at your mistake,
go in an apathetic state
or you can actually get angry and come strapped with an AK,
a gat, grenades, a back-up melee knife and half of Batman's cave
A baseball bat a case of matches gasoline and razor blades
Spray and pray and lay to waste 'til all that afterward remains
is shrapnel, casings, bashed-in brains and blood splattered on your face
Then there's practically no trace of you as you run away
until you're positively certain that it's absolutely safe
to turn around but when you do you find you're standing face-to-face
with fans who never left you
Through the whole fiasco they remained.
So just…
(Hook)

Maybe hes a naturally cold person. Mark Wall-of-Iceberg, we could call him.
Or maybe he shares that office with someone else.

Nah, the first thing.
